John A. and Mary V. Lima Memorial Scholarship in Portuguese Studies

The John A. and Mary V. 利马纪念葡萄牙语研究奖学金基金将向esball官方网主修或辅修葡萄牙语的本科生颁发两份奖学金，金额为2美元,500 each upon satisfactory completion of the required course(s) in the program. At least one scholarship is intended for a student majoring in Portuguese; however, 评选委员会保留根据提交的申请数量调整奖项分配的权利. 该奖项取决于葡萄牙语和葡语世界研究研究所(IPLWS)的条件和要求。, the Rhode Island College Foundation and the John A. and Mary V. Lima Memorial Scholarship.

To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must:

  1. Have matriculated into a baccalaureate degree program at Rhode Island College.
  2. Have attained and continue to maintain a cumulative GPA of a minimum of B- (2.67).
  3. 在RIC成功完成至少16个大学学分，其中4个是葡萄牙语学分.
  4. Have declared a major or minor in Portuguese.

To apply, the applicant must complete and submit the John A. and Mary V. Lima Memorial Scholarship Application Form, including essay questions, 同时附上esball官方网一位教授在申请人主修领域的推荐信(最好). and Mary V. Lima Memorial Scholarship Instructor Recommendation Form.

Recipients will be notified by email, if selected. 如果申请人未能达到学业进步标准，IPWLS保留在任何时候取消任何奖学金或援助的权利, any other scholarship requirements or falsifies information reported.

Lema-Fernandes Study Abroad Fund 

esball官方网葡萄牙语和葡语世界研究学院将颁发奖学金，部分支持RIC学生参加葡萄牙或其他葡语国家的留学或实习项目的学费. 有限的资金是可用的，奖励取决于提交的申请池. In previous years, awards have ranged from $1,000 to $6,000. 正在完成或已经完成葡萄牙语辅修或主修所有要求的毕业年度学生有资格申请.​

Applicants must also comply with all RIC Study Abroad requirements, 被接受和/或注册了国外的课程或项目，并表明在esball官方网学习葡萄牙语的承诺或意图. Complete and submit the Lema-Fernandes Study Abroad Application Form, 包括论文问题以及esball官方网教授在申请人主要研究领域(最好)使用Lema-Fernandes留学导师推荐表的推荐信. 

奖学金将在学生完成海外学习项目后支付到学生的RIC账户, 将学分转到esball官方网，并在返回esball官方网时提供葡萄牙语入学证明(如果适用).​

Prémio Em Estudos Portugueses Award

葡萄牙语奖由葡萄牙语和葡语世界研究研究所赞助，每年向在esball官方网葡萄牙语研究方面取得杰出学术成就的毕业生颁发200美元的现金奖. 获奖者由现代语言系的葡萄牙语教师根据与奖项捐赠者合作制定的标准提名. 该奖项于学年的五月在学院的毕业典礼上颁发. 

Sigma Chapter of Phi Lambda Beta

esball官方网西格玛分会Phi Lambda Beta葡萄牙语荣誉协会是美国西班牙语和葡萄牙语教师协会的辅助机构. 该协会的目的是奖励在葡萄牙语和葡萄牙语领域的杰出成就, Brazilian, African Lusophone cultures and literatures and their diaspora. Phi Lambda Beta是一个独特的国家葡萄牙荣誉协会，在美国大多数主要学院和大学都有分会，提供葡萄牙语学术课程和学位, Brazilian and African Lusophone Studies.

Phi Lambda Beta葡萄牙荣誉协会Sigma分会的活跃成员是esball官方网的学生，他们在葡萄牙研究项目的高奖学金基础上获得提名. High scholarship is defined as a minimum of 3.25 GPA in Portuguese courses and a minimum of 3.0 GPA (on a 4.00 scale); a minimum of three years of college Portuguese or the equivalent; and a minimum of one course in literature in the Portuguese Studies Program. 

Honorary, 准会员和校友会员也应归为教职员工, community members, RIC alumni – who have demonstrated through scholarship, teaching and/or service, 他们对推广葡萄牙语和葡萄牙语非常感兴趣, Brazilian and African Lusophone Studies and their diaspora at Rhode Island College.
