申请人必须提交:

1. A completed application form accompanied by a $50 nonrefundable application fee. (RITE program applications may be requested by 电子邮件ing the associate dean at fsehd@carerslink.net.)

1. 所有申请材料提交后, the associate dean will send the following materials to the chair of the Educational Studies Department:

2. The department chair will give the materials to the appropriate 顾问 for review.
3. The 顾问 will review the materials and create a plan of study with the applicant. 当学习计划完成时, the 顾问 will send the following back to the associate dean’s office:
   
   • The completed application form signed by the program 顾问 and the chair of the Department of Educational Studies.

4. Once these materials are returned to the associate dean’s office, the plan of study will be signed and an acceptance letter along with a copy of the plan of study will be 电子邮件ed to the student, 顾问, the chair of the Educational Studies Department and the Educational Studies assistant.

Persons holding baccalaureate degrees from regionally accredited institutions may apply to Rhode Island College for a second undergraduate degree. 在申请时, students must have completed a baccalaureate degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (3.护理0分，2分.放射学专业7名). Previous college coursework must be comparable to coursework currently taught at Rhode Island College.

Second-degree students follow a plan of study created with their 顾问, which includes a list of program coursework and other requirements leading up to FSEHD program admission and program completion. Admission requirements may mirror undergraduate admissions; however, there will be differences.

Every FSEHD student who works with children/youth/adults must maintain a current BCI from the Attorney General’s Office. The BCI is required before entering a classroom or community space, 虚拟和/或面对面, 观察是否, 辅导, teaching and/or participating in any type of community activity. bci将提交和维护在 粉笔和电线.

申请人必须保持最低累积GPA为2.75. (Once you are admitted to RIC, your cumulative GPA is based on your grades in your RIC coursework.) If you meet all of the admission requirements except for your GPA, 你可以申请有条件录取.

申请人必须符合以下条件:

1. Complete FSEHD course requirements (if listed on your plan of study) and Foundations (FNED) course requirements.
2. 通过FNED 101:教学导论. This is a requirement for all incoming freshman and transfer students admitted to RIC in Fall 2019 and later.
3. Earn a grade of B- or better in FNED 246: Schooling for Social Justice.
